About me

I am a detail-oriented technology professional with a strong interest in cloud computing and Amazon Web Services. I am building skills in cloud architecture, deployment and infrastructure management, with a focus on scalable and secure solutions.

I spent over four years teaching and leading in university computer science: programming fundamentals, mobile app development, databases, and data structures and algorithms. That gave me a solid base in problem-solving, software development and system design, and practice in explaining complex systems to different audiences.

I am looking for an entry-level cloud engineering or AWS-focused role where I can apply these skills and keep growing.

AWS Cloud Intern

Primed Talent, UK · Sept 2023 – Feb 2025 · alongside my lecturer role

  • Applied the AWS Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework to design secure, reliable, cost-effective systems.
  • Worked hands-on with compute, networking and storage: EC2, EBS, EFS, VPC (subnetting, route tables), Route 53, S3, CloudFront, Elastic Load Balancing and Auto Scaling.
  • Managed access and governance using IAM, AWS Organizations, Config, Trusted Advisor, Systems Manager and billing tools.
  • Automated deployments with CloudFormation and Git-based CI/CD; monitored systems with CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
  • Built serverless functions with Lambda and Python, and worked with RDS, DynamoDB and Athena.
